Lascelles Fine Arts art classes are perfect for beginners who want to try something new, intermediate students who would like to advance their level of artistic practice, or more advanced artists who would enjoy interacting with a fellow artist.

We are happy for our students to bring something to drink to make the session more enjoyable...paint and sip, what could be more fun!?

Lascelles Fine Arts instruction is focused on recognizing the individual needs of each student. The actual in-class instruction covers the basic techniques which apply to all students, we then focus on what each individual student would like to achieve. From the general techniques shown at the beginning of the class, the session becomes more personalized as the instruction zeros in on the student's personal aims.

Our classes are currently taught by Gordon Carter, a professional artist with over 27 years experience exhibiting, teaching, and working constantly to bring art and culture to the public. Gordon believes that art and culture are for everyone. He demonstrates in the sessions that practicing art at any level of competency benefits the personal wellbeing of the practitioner. His teaching style is informative, informal, and fun.

Our current class offering is for drawing and oil painting. Our sessions are seven days a week at 10am,and twice weekly there are classes all day long. If you would like to request a unique time for your session, please get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate your request. It is advised to request special dates and times in advance by at least two weeks.
